Food Industry

A particular challenge in food production is the contamination of production waste water with fuels as emulsions (fats and oils) and high COD values. This requires micro- and ultrafiltration methods, for which we offer the entire product range.

Due to the relatively high residual concentrations of dissolved substances, physical-chemical processes are only suitable to a limited extent for the complete treatment of such waste water and often lead to high costs due to high chemical requirements.

We rely on a proven combination of first-class biological processes and offer a clear advantage over conventional secondary clarifiers in the activated sludge process:

  • Combination of the aerobic biological process with membrane filtration
  • Separation of the activated sludge
  • Membrane Bio-Reactors (MBR) with high biomass concentrations
  • Complete retention of biomass

We also produce filter systems for the absorption of industrial exhaust gases such as hydrogen sulfide, indoles and skatoles, methyl mercaptans, methylamines and ammonia, which are frequently found in food production. For this purpose, we use gas scrubbers and filters for biological and chemical waste gas purification.

Fish processing

The fish processing industry is a profitable segment of the economy, but it is under high economic and regulatory pressure.

As a healthy food, fish and seafood enjoy a high level of consumer confidence. This is reflected in the significantly increased fish consumption of more than 20 kg per inhabitant worldwide (source: Fisch Information Zentrum e.V.). Nevertheless, the fishing industry and the fish processing industry are facing a number of challenges: Price-aggressive international competition, the weakness of the Euro against the U.S. dollar and follow-up costs for compliance with the legal provisions of the Common Fisheries Policy and EU food legislation are depressing the companies' results. The same applies to the meat industry.

The main challenge is the development of gases such as those with ammonia (NH3) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the treatment of waste products. Metallic plant components (e.g. piping, actuators) are attacked by these gases.

Our solutions in the field of exhaust gas and exhaust air purification systems extract exhaust gases before corrosion damage can occur, for which we use a two-stage process:

We offer the complete product range in exhaust air treatment and water purification (machines and plants, piping and tanks, switch cabinets and control systems) and cover the entire value chain with customized solutions for your individual case (planning, design, production, assembly, commissioning as well as comprehensive services).

Our processes are "Made in Germany" and certified according to ISO 9001:2015, as are those of our suppliers. Our products are monitored and tested by TÜV and DIBt.

Meat processing

The worldwide consumption of meat products is increasing, especially beef, and international meat exports are constantly growing.

Just as in the fishing industry, the international meat industry is also facing challenges: price-aggressive international competition, the weakness of the euro against the US dollar, as well as follow-up costs for compliance with the legal provisions of the common meat policy and EU food legislation.

A major challenge is the accumulation of a very large amount of meat processing waste water, for which our modular membrane filter sewage treatment systems are ideally suited for water purification:

We offer the complete product range in exhaust air treatment and water purification (apparatus and plants, piping and tanks, switch cabinets and control systems) and cover the entire value-added chain with customized solutions for your individual case (planning, design, production, assembly, commissioning as well as comprehensive services).

Our processes are "Made in Germany" and certified according to ISO 9001:2015, as are those of our suppliers. Our products are monitored and tested by TÜV and DIBt.

Beverages & Brewery

Waste water in the beverage and brewery industry is highly contaminated biologically and chemically and has high COD values. Biochemical oxygen demand and sulphides lead to odour development (hydrogen sulphide). The central waste water processing is regulated by strict limits set by the federal and local authorities. Physico-chemical processes are only conditionally suited for the complete treatment of such waste water due to the relatively high residual concentrations of dissolved substances, and often lead to high costs due to high chemical requirements.

We rely on proven first-class biological processes and offer a clear advantage over conventional secondary clarifiers in the activated sludge process:

  • Combination of the aerobic biological process with membrane filtration
  • Separation of the activated sludge
  • Membrane Bio-Reactors (MBR) with high biomass concentrations
  • Complete retention of biomass

We also produce filter systems for the absorption of industrial waste gases such as hydrogen sulfide, indole and skatole, methyl mercaptans, methylamines and ammonia, which are frequently found in breweries. For this purpose, we use gas scrubbers and filters for biological and chemical waste gas purification.
