Limit values force to act

Wastewater dischargers are forced to comply with decreasing limit values in wastewater. Carbon source metering systems from ABIONIK offer you a solution to reliably reduce the concentration of these substances.

For this purpose, carbon substrates such as acetic acid, methanol, ethanol, acetone and acetol are dosed into the waste water in order to optimally ensure the metabolic activity of the microorganisms used for denitrification in the aeration tank.

The exact addition of carbons with ABIONIK dosing units is decisive for maintaining denitrification: too high doses increase the process costs and cause that not all nutrients are consumed during oxidation, too low doses slow down the degradation.

Customized project implementation

Since the treated wastewater has to seep into the karst area, particularly high demands are placed on the purification performance of the wastewater treatment plant with regard to nutrient reduction and hygienization.

The application of the membrane activated sludge process fulfills the hygienic requirements of the European bathing water directive in the sewage treatment plant effluent. The biological stage of the wastewater treatment plant is arranged in a compact structure with an activated sludge tank and two downstream membrane filtration chambers. The membrane wastewater treatment plant consists of a mechanical pre-treatment, activation, filter chambers with submerged membrane filters.
