Precise control for the discharge of water
For the drainage of rainwater, mixed water and sewage - following modern management principles – throttle elements with vertical discharge characteristics are used, which create exact discharge limits independent of the damming height in basins, reservoirs, relief systems, sewage treatment plants and separators.
Swivelling barrage shields for the management of large sewers and sewer networks
The HydroGuard® flush and backwater valve is both a product and a system for the complete management of large sewers, entire sewer networks as well as individual sewer network sections.
With the HydroGuard® flushing and backwater valve, cost-effective partial solutions without functional compromises are possible. It can fulfil a wide variety of functions and can be easily adapted and/or modified to meet the operational requirements for the management of individual sewers or entire networks. The main applications include controlled damming up and impounding processes and the temporary retention of drains with subsequent use of the dammed water to flush the sewers. By means of an adjustable bottom outlet opening, the dirt load can be continuously conveyed to the sewage treatment plant, even in case of impoundment.
Delays the outflow and activates unused sewer volume
A sewer system has enormous unused storage reserves because it is designed to absorb peak loads. The HydroStyx® drain brake makes it possible to exploit this hidden capital. During rainfall events, the effect of the HydroStyx® discharge brakes allows the sewer volume to be used specifically for backfilling - the discharge is slowed down. During heavy rainfall, the mixed water runs over the overflow edge of the drain brake. This restores the sewer to its full capacity. The water volume carries less dirt load and the discharge hydrographs show fewer peaks. Overloaded sewers can now transport the discharge delayed water quantity, the replacement of the sewers is no longer necessary and new pool volumes are reduced accordingly.
Set damming targets and increase storage volume – electrically, hydraulically or without external energy
By using HydroBend weir gates on the sills, the water level is artificially raised by the height of the overfall. The new water level is kept constant in the centimeter range without external energy. If more water flows in than out of a dammed-up pool, the HydroBend weir flap relieves the excess water. HydroBend weir gates are hinged at the bottom. If the water level exceeds the target level, the weir flap lowers. The water level is lowered to the water level target. If the water level continues to fall, the weir flap rises until the target is reached again or the discharge is completed.
The control of the HydroBend weir flap is either electric, hydraulic or without external energy by means of a counterforce system.
