For a safe and low-maintenance operation of membrane bioreactors, hairs, fibres, etc., which can form undesirable clumps in membrane biology, must be screened out of the raw waste water. However, the organic substances from the screenings should be returned to the biological treatment stage as a source of carbon.
For decentralized membrane waste water treatment plants, a simple and inexpensive mechanical pre-treatment is required for the separation of screenings and sand. The ABIONIK fine filters meet these requirements by the combination of a vertical fine screening with screenings washing and a circular grit trap. The separated solids can be discharged by a dewatering screw. The separated screenings and the separated sand can also be sucked directly out of the container with a suction truck. Our products [Link RA 200, RA 350-600, RA 350-1000] allow for a fine screening of < 3 mm hole diameter and a maximum flow rate of 7 l/sec.
